Terms of Service

Welcome to engineers.network ("Platform"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Platform operated by engineers.network ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Platform.
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide truthful and accurate information during registration
  • Keep your account information up to date
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Not create accounts for others without permission
  • Not create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform in compliance with our Acceptable Use Policy and all applicable laws. You shall not:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Post content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or infringing
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Platform without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure
  • Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
  • Use the Platform to send spam or unsolicited communications

4. User Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create and share on the Platform ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and improving the Platform.

4.2 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to post the content
  • Your content does not violate any third-party rights
  • Your content complies with these Terms and applicable laws

4.3 Removal

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable, without prior notice. We are not obligated to monitor all User Content.

5. Professional Services

5.1 Job Listings

The Platform allows posting and browsing of job opportunities. We do not guarantee employment outcomes. We are not a party to any employment agreement between users.

5.2 Tenders

The tender system facilitates project-based engagements between companies and professionals. Engineers.network acts as a facilitator, not a party to tender contracts. All agreements are between the posting organization and the bidding professional or agency.

5.3 Courses and Learning

Educational content on the Platform is for informational purposes. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes, certifications, or career advancement from completing courses.

6. Business Pages

If you create a business page, you represent that you are authorized to act on behalf of the organization. You are responsible for ensuring all information on the business page is accurate and up to date.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, logos, trademarks, and content created by us, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Platform without our written permission.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

9. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for the accuracy of user-generated content. Please also review our Disclaimer.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, engineers.network SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless engineers.network, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Platform immediately ceases
  • We may delete your account data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive

You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or via email. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the relevant arbitration association.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and engineers.network regarding the Platform.
